Ternafit NGO is committed to ensuring the Tigray Knowledge Base is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to meet the WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines wherever practical.

Our commitment

  • Perceivable — content uses sufficient colour contrast, scalable text, and meaningful alternative text for images and icons.
  • Operable — the site is fully keyboard navigable, includes skip-to-content links, and respects reduced-motion preferences.
  • Understandable — pages use consistent navigation, clear headings, and predictable behaviour.
  • Robust — markup is valid and compatible with current major assistive technologies.

Known limitations

Some legacy interactive visualisations and third-party embeds (e.g. mapping and charting libraries) may not be fully operable with all assistive technologies. Where a visualisation conveys essential data, an equivalent textual or tabular description is provided alongside it.
